I’m Jim Crandall, and I specialize in real estate and vacation rental photography in the Idyllwild, Hemet, and Desert areas and beyond. I also produce the magazine Mountain Homes of Idyllwild for the Idyllwild Association of Realtors.
I’ve been shooting real estate and vacation rentals almost exclusively for the past 12 years. I have my FAA drone pilot’s license, and I also offer video walkthroughs, video slideshows, and floor plans. I usually have a 24 hour turnaround.
I’ve been in the publishing industry for more than 35 years. I started out working on the Gold Hill News in the Virginia City, Nevada, area. Then I went to work for Nevada Magazine for 10 years, as Associate Editor, then Managing Editor then Art Director. I later was a reporter for the Associated Press in Carson City, covering a session of the Nevada Legislature. My most recent stint was as Chief Operations Officer at the Idyllwild Town Crier for 11 years. My main duties were to design and maintain the website, the newspaper and all related publications, including the Visitor’s Guide, the Phone Book, the Homes on the Hill real estate publications, the Idyllwild Wall Calendar, and everything else.
I’ve been freelancing since 2011, with a wide range of happy clients.
